SE Asia: Sebana Cove to KK

2009 commenced for us anchored at  Bang Tao, island of Phuket, much quieter than 12 months before in Patong Bay several NM to the South. Next sailed North to the Thai islands of Surin and Similan. Pleasant, good but not exceptional diving but haunted by the diurnal migrations from the mainland of dive boats and their numerous cargoes.

Next a sail / motorsail Southwards to position and store Mahili at Sebana Cove Marina while flying with good friends Erik and Berit (yacht Fruen fra Havet) to China and return.

Join the 2009 Passage to the East Yacht Rally that took us past the Southern tip mof Malaysia and Northwards along the East coast to the Tioman Islands then Eastwards to Borneo, Sarawak, Brunei and Sabah.

Fly to Penang, bus and ferry to Langkawi to pick up Kermit (motorbike) previously stored, back to Penang for new clutch plates then North To Thailand and beyond.
